 What is the refund policy?

The Caterpillar Club registration is non refundable, except for in the case your child becomes so ill that they can not participate. A doctor's note is required for refund.

The Summer Camp deposit to hold your spot is non-refundable, except for if Monarch cancels the camp. The balance of the camp fee, due 30 days prior to day 1 of your child's camp is only refundable with a doctor's note.

My child has no prior riding experience, is this camp appropriate?

Yes! Children with no prior riding experience are welcome. Monarch camps are a great way to learn the basics of riding, and how to interact with horses!

What does my child need to bring to Monarch?

  • Long fitted pants or breeches
  • Low heeled sturdy boots
  • Refillable water bottle

Are there other animals at the camp besides ponies and horses?

Yes the barn is dog friendly and there will be multiple dogs at the barn during camp. If you child is afraid of dogs please let us know in advance.

 How do make-up lessons work?

Due to limitation in ring time, pony and instructor availability, as a general policy we do not offer makeup lessons if a rider needs to be out due to illness or other commitments. However, we do offer weekly public group lessons one additional week, and if you discuss availability with the Caterpillar Club leaders, we may be able to arrange a makeup lesson in one of those groups. You are always welcome to schedule a private lesson with one of the Monarch instructors as availability allows.

If Caterpillar Club needs to cancel due to inclement weather, we usually offer a makeup date at the end of the semester.
